Carinthia police received an unusual report around noon on Sunday. Someone reported that something was being sold in a garage in Klagenfurt St. Peter. Soon after, the agents discovered a kind of meat market there and some customers fled the police.

Around 300 kilos of meat

In the garage, a 53-year-old man and his 43-year-old wife sold the merchandise. Around 300 kilos of meat ready for sale, a scale, a butcher knife and other items necessary for the sale of meat products were obtained. The couple stated that they only sell the meat to friends.

Both report to the magistrate in Klagenfurt. The reports are made separately according to the Covid-19 Emergency Measures Ordinance.
