Genoa – Italian Ski World Cup rider Matteo Casse, who injured his ankle during a giant slalom race in Cervinia, had to undergo surgery. The surgery went smoothly. The operation was carried out at Villa Montallegro in Genoa, capital of Liguria, under the direction of Dr. Matteo Guelfi carried out by the Association’s Medical Commission.

Surgical intervention was necessary to shorten the recovery time of the speed specialist from the northwestern Italian region of Piedmont. So you will soon be able to celebrate a comeback and still qualify for the highlight of the season, which is undoubtedly the World Cup at home in Cortina d’Ampezzo in February next year.
