According to a spokesman for Health Councilor Peter Hacker, 81 positive cases of corona were discovered during rapid tests in Vienna on Sunday.
A total of 21,779 tests were carried out at the Stadthalle, Messe Wien and Marx-Halle locations. 81 people with a positive rapid test result carried out a PCR test in the form of a gargle test at the site. This is necessary because a positive rapid test result can be quite inaccurate due to susceptibility to errors. Another 67 people also had to gargle because the nasal swab didn’t work. Today’s PCR test results were not yet available Sunday night.
There are 16,000 registrations for Monday morning (starting Sunday afternoon). An outstanding visit has also been announced: in the morning, Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) and Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) will be evaluated at the Vienna Exhibition Center. The two politicians want to send a strong common signal that it is important to reduce the number of infections in Austria, as stated.
