Massive tests in Graz: 50,000 records, so there is still capacity

[ad_1]

By this morning (8.30am), 40,700 appointments had been booked in Graz for the big massive test of the weekend. By night, this had risen to around 50,000. The inscriptions are distributed very differently than the test locations in the metropolis of Mur. While the conference is almost complete and the Karl-Franzens-University location will be very popular, there are still free spots at other locations.

Free capacities are available

For example, there are still several places available in the locations

  • Messe Graz, Messeplatz 1,
  • List-Halle, Waagner-Biro-Straße 98a
  • Chamber of Labor, Strauchgasse 32
  • VS + MS Viktor Kaplan, Andritzer Reichsstraße 35b
  • Med-Uni, Neue Stiftingtalstrasse 6
  • Graz Airport, Flughafenstrasse
  • ASKÖ-Halle, Schloßstraße 20
  • Union Halle, Gaußgasse 3

You can register online at www.oesterreich-testet.at or by phone at +43 316 376 300. In the meantime, people are also encouraged to take advantage of the offer of free and voluntary tests without prior registration. Without prior registration, those who wish to take the test can only come to the test stations during the following period: Saturday from 4 pm and Sunday from 12 pm, as this period tends to be less reserved in Styria.

With free public transport to the mass test

In any case, no one has to travel to mass tests by car, after all, Graz Linien has established a more frequent service. At the suggestion of Mayor Siegfried Nagl and Lieutenant Governor Anton Lang, buses and trams run free on Saturdays and Sundays. On December 12, buses and trams run between 7.5 and ten minutes in line with the normal schedule on Saturdays. Additional slots are also available if required. On Sunday the usual Sunday hours are respected. On most lines, the usual 15-minute intervals are shortened by inserts, so that test sites in urban areas can be reached at 7.5 minute intervals.
The shuttle bus from the Asperngasse stop to Hödlweg (exit Alte Poststraße) to the “Helmut-List-Halle” test center will be reconfigured for this weekend. For line 630 to the airport (via Hauptbahnhof and Puntigam), the frequency for these two days will be cut in half to 30 minutes.

Fast and safe

“It is important to us that as many people as possible can reach all places quickly and safely by bus and tram,” emphasizes Mayor Siegfried Nagl. “Thanks to the support of the transportation companies, it will be possible next weekend to reach the various test stations in the state capital for free,” says regional transportation officer Anton Lang delighted.
