43 municipalities in southern Salzburg
The tests were carried out in 43 communities in the south of Salzburg. They provided a total of 218 test roads at 80 test locations, 18 of them in Lungau and 62 in Pinzgau. The state capital provided three large locations at the airport, the congress center, and the showroom. The authorities actively informed anyone who had a positive rapid test, followed by a PCR test.
Pinzgau: nearly 20,000 tested
Of the 70,970 “authorized” residents of Pinzgau, that is, residents 16 years of age or younger who tested positive in the past three months, 19,751 came in for testing today. This translates into a 27.8 percent stake. The number of positive cases is 99. This is a preliminary number, the PCR test for these 99 people is still pending.
Lungau: more than 28 percent participation
The turnout in the Tamsweg district was 28.6 percent. 4,630 Lungau residents out of 16,165 “test persons” were informed about their Covid-19 status by smear. 33 of them were positive. Confirmation by a PCR test is pending here too.
City of Salzburg: more than one in five “test persons” participated
A total of 27,985 people accepted the offer and free tests for the Corona virus were performed on Friday and Saturday in the city of Salzburg. 75 of them tested positive. Assuming 110,000 eligible voters, 25.4 percent of them participated.
