A marriage dispute has escalated in Upper Austria. When a man saw his wife with her acquaintance, he grabbed a knife and threatened the couple.
Along with her 36-year-old friend from the Murtal district, a 38-year-old Hungarian woman was at her apartment on Saturday around 5 pm when suddenly her husband, who was separated, entered the apartment. For the 53-year-old, the scene was clear, so he went straight to the kitchen without saying a word and pulled out a knife.
With that, the man threatened the couple. The 36-year-old then escaped from the apartment and ran to his car, which was in front of the house. The 53-year-old man chased after him and stabbed the hood with the knife. But he slipped and seriously injured his hand.
The husband loses consciousness
After that, the husband returned to the house, beat his wife several times, and threatened to kill her. Then the 53-year-old man tried to leave the scene of the crime, but was unable to do so because he lost consciousness, probably due to blood loss.
Alert police eventually found the unconscious man behind his car. He was admitted to the Vöcklabruck hospital and detained there by order of the Wels prosecutor. When questioned, he refused to testify. He was admitted to Wels Prison.
