The company headquarters of the truck manufacturer in Munich wants to sell to former Magna boss Siegfried Wolf. After Easter, the workforce will vote the offer on a secret ballot.

Investor Siegfried Wolf will present his acquisition plan to workers at the MAN plant in Steyr on Friday afternoon. The company headquarters of the truck manufacturer in Munich wants to sell to the former head of Magna; otherwise, the location should be closed in 2023. CEO Andreas Tostmann also participates in the business meeting. Wolf wants to continue MAN under the Steyr brand, but only hire about 1,250 of the current 1845 permanent workers.

After Easter, the workforce will vote the offer on a secret ballot. Until now, the works council has been concerned about economic sanctions, mainly due to Wolf’s business ties with Russia. In addition, there is a maximum reduction of 15 percent in net income in the event of an acquisition.
