In mass tests in Lower Austria over the weekend, a total of 542,826 people were tested, 770 antigen tests were positive. That is the preliminary balance of the crown exams nationwide.

According to the preliminary status of the assessment, a total of 542,826 people were subjected to a smear, which means a participation rate of about 35.73 percent for 1,519,417 beneficiaries. The zone tests, basically completed, will continue until Tuesday in Wiener Neustadt.

Mass testing in Lower Austria: participation rate was 37 percent

The smears that were taken on Saturday and Sunday finally surpassed previous records in the state. A total of 512,376 registrations were registered online. If the previous exams by educators and police are added to the weekend’s figures, 573,803 antigen tests were carried out. With a total of 834 positives, the rate is 0.15 percent, the participation rate is 37.76 percent.

As in the entire federal state, the number of positive antigen tests remained in the low range in the two largest cities in Lower Austria. From the statutory city of St. Pölten, the Notruf NÖ board reported 22 cases at 7.45 p.m., in Wiener Neustadt eleven were counted according to the city council. A total of 11,787 swabs were taken in the state capital in two days. In the statutory city of the south of the state there were 6,309. The positive rate was 0.19 and 0.17 percent, respectively, and therefore exceeded the national trend.

While the investigations in St. Pölten, as in the rest of the state, were completed on Sunday evening, they will continue for two days in Wiener Neustadt. An online reservation is no longer necessary, it was emphasized in a broadcast.
