Today, Wednesday, the consumer protection association (VSV) will present the first official liability lawsuits of ski tourists from Austria, Germany and Switzerland against the Republic of Austria and the state of Tyrol. Tourists became infected with Covid-19 during their skiing holidays in Tyrol, especially in Ischgl, and they carried the virus around the world. The SAAM will announce the details of the model claims for damages for Covid victims at a press conference in Vienna.
More than 6,000 tourists in Tyrol have already reported the consumer protection association as victims. Many of them come from Germany. According to Kolba’s account, those responsible reacted too late and not enough to the coronavirus outbreak in Ischgl. The Corona virus was transmitted in 45 countries from the Tyrolean winter sports station.
