“The added value of filming for Upper Austria is considerable”
Linz (OTS) – “It is great news that the decision for the ‘new SOKO’ was made in the federal state of Upper Austria. Upper Austria has a perfect infrastructure, as well as a good mix of urban and rural areas, of diverse and still unknown locations “, thus the governor of Upper Austria, Mag. Thomas Stelzer, and the Minister of Economy and Tourism Markus Achleitner.
Upper Austria already has experience with the SOKO series: “SOKO Donau” episodes have been filmed regularly in Upper Austria for 15 years – with the filming of the current sixteenth season there are a total of 40 episodes. Up to 4.5 million viewers per episode in Austria and Germany watch this ORF / ZDF crime series on television.
“The added value that results from filming on site is considerable, not just for tourism and cultivated land, but especially for the local economy. We also expect this effect for ‘SOKO Linz’. Therefore, we would like to thank the heads of ORF and ZDF for their trust in Upper Austria and we are pleased that ‘SOKO Linz’ is becoming an integral part of the SOKO family. “ so Stelzer and Achleitner.
