Less active positive cases again on Monday – coronavirus –

In Vorarlberg on Monday (as of 11:59 p.m.) the number of recoveries exceeded that of new corona infections. From midnight Sunday to midnight Monday, 295 new infections were recorded, compared with 370 recoveries. The number of actively positive Covid-19 infected decreased from 4,169 to 4,091 cases. The intensive occupancy rate in hospitals remained tense and stable. Three more corona deaths were also reported.

In Vorarlberg, 75 people have died from or with the virus. There were 194 patients with corona in hospital treatment in the country’s hospitals, 35 of them, as many as the day before, were in the intensive care unit. Of the intensive care beds available across the country, 13 remained free (minus three). The number of infected hospital employees decreased slightly on Monday. 105 (minus twelve) were infected with the corona virus, 99 (minus seven) other employees were quarantined as contact persons.

The most active Covid cases are in the Bregenz district, followed by Feldkirch, Dornbirn and Bludenz.

As of midnight on Monday, the number of cases in twelve municipalities was (well) over 100, with the city of Dornbirn (504) versus Lustenau (305), Bregenz (297) and Feldkirch (283). Only four of the 96 municipalities in Vorarlberg were free of the corona virus.

According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg continued to have the worst value of all Austrian federal states with the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants. With 774.8 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, the state was ahead of Upper Austria (692.7) and Tyrol (653.3). The Austrian average was 527.4. The incidents are updated daily between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
