Ledl-Rossmann under pressure, head washing and a new alcohol ban in the state parliament

Innsbruck – There were more relaxed preliminary government vice-president meetings than yesterday afternoon. LH Günther Platter found clear words in the direction of those who had gathered Thursday in the state parliament over a glass of wine in the lobby of the alternative congressional wards of Innsbruck. After 10 pm and therefore after the new Corona curfew. Especially in this difficult phase, Platter is said to have said that he expects each vice president term to act as a role model.

As reported, in attendance were the Speaker of the State Parliament, Sonja Ledl-Rossmann, Club VP Manager Jakob Wolf, State Councilor Johannes Tratter, LA Stefan Weirather, LA Barbara Schwaighofer and future Federal Councilor Sebastian Kolland. The image that went through social networks also showed the head of the SP country, Georg Dornauer, at the table. Also to the chagrin of some in the red party.

The president of the green club, Gebi Mair, refers to a large number of negative comments from the population. In this way, politics as a whole falls into disrepute, Mair said. An excuse is one thing, prevention is another matter. That’s why Mair calls for an alcohol-free state parliament canteen: “No one understands that alcohol is served during a state parliament session.” You will bring this demand to the next club leaders meeting.

Pressure grows on Ledl-Rossmann

Mair already has the opportunity today. Ledl-Rossmann has already been in contact via TT sorry. Club leaders are invited for today. The FPÖ, NEOS and List Fritz had already requested this in a joint statement. They see the “dignity of the state parliament seriously damaged” by the behavior. Markus Abwerzger (FP), Dominik Oberhofer (NEOS and Andrea Haselwanter-Schneider (List Fritz) also insist on the role model effect. Ledl-Rossmann is fired upon. As Speaker of the State Parliament, she “berated” an unusually large number of requests to speak last week but to “alcoholic derailments.”

While the FP did not call for Ledl-Rossmann’s resignation, for Haselwanter-Schneider she was “in question as president.” Oberhofer can imagine that he “makes his office available”.

Holey mask “in protest”

But Abwerzger also had to explain yesterday. LA Evelyn Achhorner had appeared in state parliament wearing a pierced crochet mask. He never saw them, says Abwerzger. Achhorner himself confirmed the blue crochet mask. He only used it briefly and without endangering anyone as a “protest against the lack of regulation of masks in the state parliament.”
