Lamparter in Ruka again in fourth place in the top field

At the end of the World Cup triples in Ruka, the Austrian team missed a podium on Sunday. Johannes Lamparter finished fourth on Sunday, 11.8 seconds behind Norwegian winner Jens Lurass Oftebro. Germans Fabian Rießle (+1.9) and Manuel Faißt (+6.4) finished second and third. Jarl Magnus Riiber was not there.

The Norwegian was disqualified in the provisional competition round on Thursday. This was included in the ranking because it was not possible to jump on Sunday due to the wind. Lamparter entered the track in third place behind Faisst and Oftebro and soon found himself in the top group with these two and Rießle. In the final sprint, however, the only 19-year-old was left behind, just like on Friday in second place in the final sprint against Riiber.

“In the end it was very, very fast,” Lamparter said in an interview with ORF. “I made another stupid mistake on the descent. I wanted to say that he was faster off the track and lost a few meters. ” He was satisfied with his performance over the weekend. “You can see that it was not a surprise on the first day, but I was very consistent throughout the weekend. This is a confirmation for me and gives me confidence for the next competitions. “

Franz-Josef Rehrl finished sixth from eleventh position (+1: 06.0). “It was more difficult for me than yesterday. Still, I’m completely satisfied, I’ve come a long way up the hill. It feels good on the road, ”said the Styrian. Immediately behind him, Thomas Jöbstl appeared in twelfth place (+1: 19.8). For Mario Seidl it was 20th place (+2: 06.3), for Martin Fritz 23rd place (+2: 35.9). Philipp Orter ended the competition prematurely.
