“I am pleased to be able to offer the Viennese additional recreational use during this expendable time of the lockdown with the expanded opening of the Lainzer Tiergarten,” forestry director Andreas Januskovecz said in a broadcast on Friday. From Monday to Thursday, the recreation area remains closed in the winter season, “in order to give the wild animals the greatest possible rest in the cold and exhausting season and to be able to carry out the necessary measures to protect the trees” the broadcast said. During the Christmas holidays (December 24 to January 6) you can visit the Lainzer Zoo every day.
