In the Globasnitz kindergarten, 14 people are now infected with the corona virus, seven of them children.
The two groups of Carinthian kindergartens in the Völkermarkt district continued to grow on Sunday: after a kindergarten teacher received a positive test result in the Globasnitz (Völkermarkt district) kindergarten on Friday, more infected people were added. The state press service reported 14 infected people in the Globasnitz group and eight cases in Gallizien in the evening. In Globasnitz, seven children, not eight as was said at the beginning, were affected. Of the seven adults, four were kindergarten employees. The kindergarten was initially closed for three days.
After the first positive case, 38 people were tested, 22 more tests are done on Sunday and Monday. Apart from those infected, there are 42 people in quarantine.
With Gallizien, a second kindergarten in the Völkermarkt district was affected by the corona virus. All kindergarteners will be tested there on Monday. An infected kindergarten aide was the first in the group to test positive on Friday; there are now eight, including four kindergarten employees. After testing the children, relatives of the previously infected are examined. Of the eight known Covid-19 cases so far, four are kindergarten employees. The first infection took place in Carinthia. Due to the two groups of kindergartens, a total of around 70 people were in quarantine.
On Sunday a new infection was reported in the “Almabtrieb” cluster in the Hermagor district, two of the 47 infected so far are considered recovered.
