After the start of Tuesday, the preliminary round of the Champions League begins. Wednesday’s cracker gets up in Turin, where Juventus host FC Barcelona.

Both teams enter the duel of giants. Juventus remains weird with the full realignment of Andrea Pirlo. More recently there was a victory in the premier class (2-0 against Dynamo Kiev), but in the league Juventus had to settle for 2 draws against Crotone and Verona. Furthermore, half the defense is missing, including captain Giorgio Chiellini. Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t there either. A corona test Tuesday night was still positive.

Barcelona also have personnel problems on defense and lost the El Clásico to Real Madrid at the weekend. Coach Ronald Koeman can expect newcomer Miralem Pjanic (from Juventus) to be available again.
The second Italian club, Lazio, have a much easier task ahead of them. The Romans face Brugge and are the clear favorites after their first win against BVB. The Germans, on the other hand, are under pressure in the home game against Zenit.
