Over the weekend, he delivered the best of the world from another year, he’s now in quarantine – Ivona Dadic’s crown test came back positive.
The 26-year-old was already on her way to the airport to travel to the Diamond League meeting in Brussels. However, the test requested by the organizers yielded a positive result.
“I am completely free of symptoms, but the presence of the Covid-19 virus has been determined,” said the surprised heptathlete. The last days before the state championships in Götzis the last weekend he spent in voluntary self-isolation in St. Pölten so as not to jeopardize the start. Except for his coaching team, he had no contact with other people, not even his boyfriend and family.
A test carried out at the same time by his coach Philipp Unfried came back negative. Dadic has to be quarantined for a few days.
It would have been his debut in the Diamond League.
