In the campaign of Bayern Munich defender David Alaba (28), there is apparently a first-rate competition for the supposed favorite Real Madrid: the Austrian national team player is supposed to negotiate with five clubs.
Sky announced at lunchtime Thursday that Alaba’s agent, Zahavi, will negotiate with a total of five clubs, but there was no more detailed information. There will also be talk of “numbers”.
Already on Wednesday the guardian reports that England champion FC Liverpool is courting coach Jürgen Klopp for Alaba: According to this, the Reds have already contacted consultant Pini Zahavi. The annual salary is equivalent to ten million euros.
Liverpool are said to be looking for defensive reinforcements due to the serious injuries suffered by Virgil van Dijk (torn cruciate ligament) and Joe Gomez (knee surgery). Leipzig central defender Dayot Upamecano has also been associated with the team for some time.
However, it is questionable whether a salary of this magnitude could convince Alaba to switch: so he and Zahavi request information from SPOX and Goal an annual salary of 13 million euros net from Real Madrid.
A salary of this magnitude would even exceed the merits of Real captain Sergio Ramos (34), who currently also plays poker for a new contract with Real and flirts with a farewell to Madrid through his brother Rene and various media channels (click here for detailed history). Bayern is said to have offered Alaba 20 million euros gross.
In recent weeks, Chelsea, PSG and Manchester United have also been mentioned in relation to Alaba, but FC Barcelona would find it difficult to financially lift a deal with Alaba.
Alaba’s future at Bayern, however, seems hard to imagine. “We rolled out the red carpet for David Alaba and reached our limits. David and especially his advisor Pini Zahavi did not walk this red carpet,” Oliver Kahn said recently. Sports box.
