The number of corona cases in Austria continues to skyrocket. The Minister of Health wants to observe the next few days.
Tuesday again brought alarming crown figures. In a 24-hour comparison, a total of 594 new coronavirus cases were reported in the country. This comes from current figures from the Ministry of Health (at 11 a.m.). This has increased the number of confirmed cases to 29,929. According to the official Covid-19 panel of the Ministry of Health, there are currently 3,705 active cases in Austria.
Health Minister Rudi Anschober (Greens) replied by transmission: “We are discussing today’s and tomorrow’s figures in the expert advisory council and with federal state health officials. The decisive question is whether it is a single, explainable peak, after a longer stability, or a rising one. The trend is acting. The figures for the next few days will give us final information on this. Of course, the Corona Commission is also dealing intensively with the developments. ” Friday is the day of truth, because then the crown traffic light will be reset. Many more districts than could currently be yellow.

In general, there is a trend towards a significant increase in some EU countries, especially Spain and France are developing in a worrying way. Now we have to maintain a high number of tests and closely observe the areas of people without symptoms, implement consistent management of contact persons and need the greatest possible participation of the population in the implementation of the measures “.
