Daniel Huber only had to admit defeat to current Halvor Egner Granerud (NOR) in qualifying for the third competition of the Four Hills Tournament on Saturday. Huber landed at 127.5 meters and was second at the Bergisel with 128.9 points, just 3.3 points behind Norsker. ÖSV’s second best man was World Cup champion Stefan Kraft, sixth. Philipp Aschenwald landed in tenth place.

Twelve of the 13 Austrians qualified for Sunday’s competition, including Gregor Schlierenzauer. Only Stefan Rainer missed the World Cup in 55th place.
