Innsbruck defeated Linz 6: 3 at the end of the Black Wings table and celebrated their first regular season home win since mid-October.
After a great pass from Gerlach, defender Kevin Tansey opened the scoring in the third minute. After twelve minutes, Christof Kromp received a 2 + 2 minute penalty. Initially, Braden Christoffer raised it to 2-0, but the Upper Austrians tied Alex Lahoda and Andreas Kristler on penalties.
In the midsection, Dragan Umicevic even changed the game in favor of the guests. But only shortly after, Sam Herr made it 3: 3. Three hits down the stretch led the home team onto the winning track. First, Tansey put together her brace. A great solo from Colton Saucerman in the majority and another goal from Daniel Ciampini made the final result 6: 3.
While the Tyrolese are still in eighth place, the black wings are at the bottom of the table. The Tyrolese eighth will play the next game at home against the insecure Villacher.
