Christian Ilzer, Sturm coach: We are very happy, it was a wonderful evening for us. This success with the best team in Salzburg is incredibly good for us. It was important that we act very bravely and put Salzburg under constant pressure. From the beginning we found opportunities with our game, we made the most of the spaces on offense and we solved the football problem. Jakob Jantscher scored great goals. Jon Gorenc-Stankovic played an incredibly important role today, he was always the link in the offensive game and he corrected gaps, he resolved calmly and quality when it came to winning the ball.

Ivan Ljubic, scorer: We wanted to come here to win. I must honestly say that I have had a good feeling in the last few days because we are in top form. Respect for the team, maximum performance. We wanted to get into the duels and we did it very well. The victory will give us even more confidence for the next games.

Jakob Jantscher, double scorer: We have decided to add another Schipperl in the second half. We did it and we deservedly won 3: 1. We were very brave and aggressive from the beginning. You can certainly see a development. We have already implemented a lot in the last weeks and months. It’s hard work and it’s good when you come back with a result like this. We have to see where we come from. Last year was not good.

Jon Gorenc-Stankovic, forward player: Faith in victory must always be there. We played a strong game and did everything we could to give our opponents a chance to score. I am very proud of our team. I had problems for two weeks, but I tried everything to help the team. I hope that was enough.

Jesse Marsch, Salzburg coach: Sturm Graz played very well. They had much more will. You have won more duels, you have won more race and aerial duels. If you are always second, it will be difficult to win. In the end, it was an important lesson for us. We weren’t ready to fight. We must never have less will at home than our opponents.

Cican Stankovic, Salzburg-Torman: That was very embarrassing for us today, we have completely different claims. The only positive was that there were no spectators. Defeat hurts a lot. It wasn’t us, Sturm played how we wanted. It’s a completely different match on Wednesday, we have to try to analyze things and try to do much better. You cannot present yourself like today in the Bundesliga. If we play like this in the Champions League, good night.
