After the 1: 4 at Villach on Saturday, the capitals of Vienna posted their second straight away defeat yesterday. The Viennese lost 1: 3 in Linz. For the Black Wings, however, it was the first victory in the league since October 23.
Artner led the Viennese to the lead (15th), but Linz turned the game around in the middle third with a double from Lebler (30th) and Umicevic (33./PP).
Time and again the Capitals failed because of an old friend: David Kickert on the hosts’ goal prevented a 2-2 draw against Wiener Loney (45th) and Vause (49th) in the final third.
Meanwhile, Lahoda got the final score on the counterattack (52nd). The Capitals will continue on Friday with a home game against Bratislava (7.15pm).
KAC had to admit defeat 1: 2 away from home in their first league game with the Bratislava Capitals on Tuesday night. Innsbruck won 6-2 at Dornbirn.
