At the beginning of the first third, the hosts try to pressure Dornbirn’s guests from the start. The Bulldogs land the first hit. Straka (7th) scores after Romig’s setup work from the slot to make it 1-0.

In the 15th minute, the KAC managed to equalize with a hundred pounds, directing a Bischofberger shot into the goal of the Dornbirn Östlund goalkeeper.

Then it goes fast, newcomers Yogan (17./PP) and Antonitsch (19th) clinch a 3: 1 for the Vorarlbergers in no time.

The second third begins as the first ended. Dornbirn has good chances, but Madlener prevents the 1: 4. In return, however, KAC counterattacks. The KAC makes it difficult with two penalties for substitution errors. Enter the second pause with a 2: 3.

Nilsson makes the decision

As in the second third, KAC also scored an early goal in the last third. Eriksson’s shot from the blue line hits Östlund’s area – 3: 3 tie. The game is open until the final siren, there are scoring opportunities from both sides, but he enters into overtime.

In this, the red jackets have more possession of the target, but cannot score the hit. Nilsson shoots the final penalty: The Bulldogs win the KAC 4: 3 after a penalty shoot-out.
