In the top game of the eighth round of the ICE Hockey League, the Vienna Capitals deservedly win against Red Bull Salzburg 4: 1 (2: 0.0: 0.2: 1).
The Viennese are off to a perfect start, taking the lead 46 seconds from a shot from Stefan Bauer. Salzburg rarely get dangerous in front of Caps Starkbaum’s goalkeeper in the early stages. In the 18th minute, Fischer increased it to 2-0: the hit only occurred after video evidence, the referees first decided “no goal”. After taking a look at the TV replay, it is clear that the puck was already in goal.
The middle third is more balanced. Salzburg come out of the dressing room well, but cannot write to them. In minute 31 everything went well, after a duel on the boards, several players were sent to the penalty box, Joslin even received a match penalty for being too tough. The capitals cannot use a 4 minute franchise, the second break is scored without goals.
Shortly after the restart, Caps Campbell’s top scorer (42nd) rose to 3-0. But Salzburg got the quick answer: Hochkofler cut 39 seconds later to 3: 1. Guests try everything, but can’t write to smart Viennese. Two seconds before the end Hartl hits the empty goal and secures the final score of 4: 1.
The Vienna Capitals take the lead in the ICE Hockey League, they are two points ahead of the Graz 99ers.
KAC successfully at home

The first third belongs entirely to the hosts. In terms of opportunities and play, the KAC initially sets the tone. Five seconds before the first third break, it is then Clemens Unterweger in power play who puts the KAC in the lead with a good shot from the blue line.
In the second section, the possibilities of the Innsbruck guests predominate. In the 31st minute, Colton Saucerman equalized after Winkler’s assist.
Dennis Sticha then scored the decisive winning goal in the 48th minute. Witting brings the puck from an acute angle into the goal area, where Sticha is exactly right and decisively deflects into goal.
In the end, the Klagenfurters celebrate a close 2-1 home win against the Innsbruck visitors.
Fehervar mob festival
AVS Fehervar wins against HC Bozen 5: 4 (3: 0.2: 3.0: 1).
