Hungary will close its borders to foreign tourists from September 1 in view of the increasing number of corona virus infections.
Due to the situation of the crown, the new regulations to enter Hungary will come into effect on September 1. Non-Hungarian citizens cannot enter the territory of Hungary, with the exception of the exceptions specified in the law.
Exception requests can only be sent electronically to the Hungarian police authorities in Hungarian or English. However, foreigners must provide a plausible reason for entering the country.
Travelers can enter the country 24 hours a day.
From now on, only the A4 motorway border crossing at Nickelsdorf will be available for international transit traffic, as well as international passenger and freight traffic.
Travelers who live a maximum of 30 kilometers from the border and work within a maximum of 30 kilometers from the border can enter the country for a maximum of 24 hours.
