Hours of use due to the long oil route in Marchtrenk and Wels

A kilometer-long and in some places extremely powerful oil route in Marchtrenk (Wels-Land district) and Wels ensured that emergency services could operate for hours.

An oil trail that ran from Wiesenstrasse in Wels-Pernau through the industrial estate and Wiener Strasse to Marchtrenk and which had already run very badly on the wet road had to be sprayed and narrowed by the emergency services of two fire departments with a huge amount of binder. The length of the oil trail was at least seven kilometers. Then three street sweepers stopped alone on Wiener Straße to clear the lanes in the direction of Linz.
At the intersection of Wiener Strasse with Uhlandstrasse and Mathias-Schönerer-Strasse, a traffic accident occurred between two cars during the operation and associated traffic obstructions, in which one person was injured. The injured man was admitted to the Wels Clinic after initial treatment by the ambulance service.

Wiener Straße was closed for about two hours in the direction of Linz between Mitterhoferstraße in Wels and Sparstraße in Marchtrenk and it will probably be difficult to stay overnight. The Welser Autobahn exit towards Marchtrenk remains closed. There were long delays.
