There are new details of the investigations of the economic and corruption prosecutor’s office, including against Finance Minister Gernot Blümel (VP), on suspicion of corruption in the Casinos / Novomatic case.
Blümel’s chief of staff, Clemens-Wolfgang Niederist, is said to have addressed the head of the Justice Section, Christian Pilnacek, after investigators submitted a security order for postal traffic from the period in question to the Ministry of Finance. In the ÖBAG case, the three opposition parties requested a special session of the National Council on Thursday, which must take place within eight days.
