The SPÖ, FPÖ and NEOS asked the health committee to submit them for an evaluation. The government once again rejected this for reasons of haste and sent the law to its majority in plenary.
Covid-19 Law 16 will be approved next Tuesday. It provides the legal basis for screening programs, and the ability to link events to conditions. The opposition was as critical of the latter as the fact that contact details such as email addresses or phone numbers should be collected during selection and quarantine notices should be issued over the phone.
Therefore, the SPÖ requested a committee evaluation, but was only supported by the FPÖ and NEOS. After all, the Greens want to try to address criticism and concerns to plenary.
The Health Committee unanimously approved a law, the 13 on Covid, namely that paramedics should also be able to take blood samples for the determination of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, and that before March 31 from 2021.
Requests to launch the health system (SPÖ), autopsy of crowned deaths (FPÖ) and to configure an ELGA-EU interface (NEOS) were rejected. Five other opposition resolution requests were made.
