Head-on against a tree: traffic accident in Gaspoltshofen causes two serious injuries

On Saturday evening a serious traffic accident occurred in Gaspoltshofen (Grieskirchen district). Two seriously injured people had to be released from the accident by firefighters.

The serious accident occurred on Gaspoltshofener Strasse, in a construction zone near the town of Unteraffnang, where a 30 km / h limit is currently in force. For reasons unknown until now, a car went off the road and literally wrapped itself around a tree. The emergency services of the three alerted fire brigades had to free two trapped people from the rubble. Due to the difficult situation, it was extremely difficult to free the second trapped person. Both the driver and the passenger suffered serious injuries in the accident and had to be treated first by the two teams of the emergency doctor’s vehicles and then transferred to the hospital. The firefighters then supported the towing company with the cleanup job.

The Gaspoltshofener Strasse was closed to traffic for about two hours.
