“Get every penny back”
With the luxurious expenses of Heinz-Christian Strache, Nepp admits omissions and errors. But it was his predecessors who committed them, not himself: When he became the head of the FPÖ in Vienna, he “cleaned up” the expense accounts, Nepp said. “And there won’t be any of that in my FPÖ either.” The Freedoms are the wounded in the Strache Cause. “We will get every penny back.”
He himself, according to Nepp, only has a completely normal expense account with which he covers the expenses of representation, for example, when he invites journalists for a beer or does a local round. Nepp then remained vague about the allegations about FPÖ-related clubs.
What sets him apart from Strache, Nepp then tried to explain more literally: his FPÖ has been the original for 60 years, which has appeared in Vienna against red-green and political Islam.
Especially now in times of the Crown “when there is economic scarcity”, preference must be given to citizens, according to Nepp. As examples, he cited the allocation of apartments in municipal housing and the social system. He wanted to give people back “the Viennese attitude towards life”. they would have lost under the red-green.
Nepp defended his radical choice of words, for example the legend of the “virus of the asylum”, as well as the participation of his party colleague in an event organized by the Identitarians. “I don’t deal with identities because I don’t care.” This year, the FPÖ itself “will hold a commemorative event to highlight the dangers of political Islam.”
