For the third time in a row, the season opened with a West Derby between HC TWK Innsbruck and the Dornbirn Bulldogs. Jan Lattner scored the first goal, with a majority in the 14th minute for the hosts.
In the center section, some new players were introduced to the league for the first time. Maxwell Gerlach and Braden Christoffer or Ioannis Kaldis entered the scoring list – 3: 1 for Innsbruck.
In the final stretch, the guests pressed the connecting goal, but the only goal was scored by the local team: Christoffer scored with an empty netter to make it 4-1. The direct league match is now balanced with 22 wins apiece.
