Hairdressers should have Plexiglass faceplates for beauty care, such as eyelash coloring, eyebrow waxing, shaving, and beard care. This was said by the Federal Hairdressers Guild, Wolfgang Eder, on Wednesday in the morning newspaper Ö1.

After the weeks of closure due to the crown pandemic, “the desire to go to the salon was very, very great,” Eder reported on a high demand for salon appointments. If customers didn’t have mouth and nose protection, companies “would probably have masks in stock.” It is up to companies to decide whether to sell the masks to customers or to offer them as a service.
The mandatory distance of one meter does not apply between the client and the hairdresser. However, there must be a distance between individual clients and the hairdresser who works alongside them. However, this often also means that fewer customers can be served and therefore less staff is required.
