Vienna City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker (SPÖ) has described the upcoming antigen mass tests as a “flash of light.” Such evidence only brings a look back and is not a “carte blanche that the epidemic is over,” he said Tuesday night on “ZiB 2.” Hacker found praise for cooperation with the military, but criticized the federal government for lack of participation in his opinion.

The hacker may gain something from the federal government’s plan to impose entry restrictions during Christmas, which was leaked on Tuesday: “I’ve always been in favor of border testing.” In general, installing test roads on the border would be “smart,” says Hacker. The “Stop Corona” app announced by Health Minister Rudolf Anschober, on the other hand, is negative. He still couldn’t see the benefit.
The Councilor for Health defended the reduced number of three test roads in Vienna compared to other federal states. They are huge and organized in such a way that there would not be large crowds, Hacker argued. An appointment recording system and testing have been extended to ten days. A big city like Vienna has a different “organizational logic”.
The fact that someone with a positive test result can use public transport to get home is not a problem from Hacker’s point of view. With an FFP2 mask this is “completely trouble free”. If you didn’t want that, you shouldn’t have called for mass testing.
