Unique opportunity through the combination with the investment bond and the extension of the subsidy to larger systems. Security planning until the end of 2022

Vienna (OTS) “The new financing campaign of the Climate and Energy Fund for Photovoltaic Energy contains some important innovations. For example, subsidies are now available for larger systems as well, “Greens climate and energy spokesperson Lukas Hammer happily says of the photovoltaic subsidies from the Climate and Energy Fund, which starts today and adds:” It is particularly It is important that finally there is sufficient financing and the financing campaign is initially designed for two years until the end of 2022. This provides planning security for individuals and companies that want to invest in a photovoltaic system ”.

As of now, € 20 million are available (i.e. still in 2020). Once the funds have been exhausted, an additional € 40 million will be earmarked for next year. “That’s a ten-fold increase in funding for next year compared to 2019,” Hammer says happily.

Until now, investment grants from the Climate and Energy Fund were limited to small systems up to 5 kW. Starting today, photovoltaic systems of up to 50kW will be financed. In addition, the limit for small systems has been raised from 5 to 10 kW, which means that even larger rooftop systems benefit from the increase in the subsidy rate for small systems of € 250 per kW. There is also a single offer for all companies until the end of February; this means that the financing can be combined with the federal investment premium. That means you get 150 euros per kW for a 50 kW system, that is, a total of 7,500 euros of financing. In addition, 14 percent of the total investment is financed by the federal government. “The combination of the new subsidies with the investment bond is an unprecedented opportunity for all companies that invest in a photovoltaic system at the end of February. It will probably never be cheaper again, ”says Hammer.

“The new funding campaign from the Climate and Energy Fund is a significant improvement and an important step on the road to 100% green electricity in 2030. It is also a major boost for all those who were already working before it entered the new Renewable Expansion Law is in force. He wants to do projects, ”says Hammer. The financing can be used by individuals, companies, associations or confessional institutions.
