There was an armed robbery on Friday afternoon in the Hollabrunn district. A perpetrator with a noticeably gray bicycle including a child seat attacked the Raiffeisenbank Seefeld-Hadres branch in Alberndorf in the Pulkau Valley. Initially, an alarm search for the fugitive cyclist was unsuccessful.
According to Walter Schwarzenecker of the Lower Austrian state police headquarters, the attack occurred around 3:25 pm “At that time, the employees activated an alarm at the branch,” Schwarzenecker said. A person wearing a mask, sunglasses and a hood had robbed the bank. Witnesses then saw the suspect flee on a bicycle with a child seat mounted on it.
Shoes with white ribbons
According to personal description, the thief was about 165 cm tall and was wearing a black raincoat and hood. A striking feature of the offender were gray gloves with a red logo and light-colored athletic shoes with white ribbons. The investigation of the case was taken over by the robbery and crime scene group of the Lower Austrian State Criminal Police Office.
