LASK comes to a conciliatory end in the Europa League!
The Linzers win their duel with Ludogorets Razgrad on the last day of the match and have the advantage in a strange game with 3: 1 (game report >>>), but have yet to accept the eliminated group.
The Austrian league leaders had it all under control against the toothless Bulgarians, even when they were behind and missed numerous opportunities for a bigger victory.
LAOLA1 analyzes the performance of all LASK actors and distributes ratings (1 = very good, 2 = good, 3 = satisfactory, 4 = sufficient, 5 = insufficient).

Alexander Schlager – 90 minutes – Grade: 2
The ÖFB goalkeeper spent the first half completely standing in his box, but immediately after switching sides, he suddenly had to come up behind him. When Elvis Manu struck from close range, Schlager couldn’t do anything. That is why he was able to excel on a free kick from Keserü, who scratched from the cross corner and thus kept LASK in the game.
Philipp Wiesinger – until 86 minutes, yellow, goal – score: 1
Sure, at 0: 1 he let scorer Manu pass a bit recklessly on the center line. How the central defender brought LASK back into play with his sheer will and his dream goal earned him top marks. Wiesinger also had his right side well controlled.
Andres Andrade – 90 Minuten – Note: 2
The Central American replaced Trauner who stayed at home in central defense and did a very good job there. Time and again, Andrade anticipated the game well and therefore intervened offensively as well. It’s a shame the left-hander deflected Keserü-Stangl’s pass before 0: 1, otherwise the 22-year-old had a great performance.
Yevgen Cheberko – 90 Minuten – Note: 3
The Ukrainian got one of his rare chances, but couldn’t take it 100%, as he lost sight of Elvis Manu in Ludogorets’ only offensive action throughout the match, which subsequently made it 0-1. In left central defense, Cheberko woll is still the third option behind Andrade and Filipovic.
Reinhold Ranftl – up to minute 74 – grade: 2
The right-back scratched LASK’s side as usual with a lot of running and didn’t miss a ball. Ranftl could not create dangerous moments in Razgrad.
James Holland – 90 minutes – Grade: 2
Unlike Tottenham, the Australian was back in midfield this time around and acted as a stabilizer there as usual. He also started the first missed penalty with a great trick over Johannes Eggestein, who was then fouled.
Mads Emil Madsen – 90 minutes, Tor – Note: 1
The Dane represented the suspended Peter Michorl down the left in central midfield and delivered a good game. Over and over again he made strong passes and showed a lot of game intelligence. In the 67th minute he was awarded not only his first goal in the European Cup, but also his first goal with LASK. Madsen is currently on the rise.
Rene Renner – 90 minutes, yellow, goal – score: 1
What a roller coaster of emotions for LASK’s left back. In the first half he missed his debut goal for Linz with two long-range shots, after which Alex Santana stopped him with an emergency brake. Then it was too colorful for Renner, he grabbed the ball and converted the penalty that he himself had taken on his first goal for the athletes. Extremely flashy and ambitious game on the part of the 27-year-old, although it was no longer about anything. You just have to do a little work on the curves.
Dominik Reiter – up to minute 63 – mark: 3
The player of the ÖFB-U21 team, who rotated on the right wing, unfortunately did not open too much until he was substituted, despite many efforts. At his best opportunity in the 30th minute, he beat it from a promising position.
Johannes Eggestein – up to minute 73 – grade: 1
The German failed to score a goal this time, but almost everything else. His legs were involved in all of LASK’s dangerous actions, including a shot from the pole in the 13th minute. Eggestein showed a lot of commitment in Madsen’s 3: 1, after he dangerously hit a very hard ball from Gruber on the fiver just before the baseline and thus collected an assist.
Thomas Goiginger – up to minute 63 – mark: 3
The recently recovered 27-year-old tried to decide the game in Razgrad on his own, but failed. Again and again Goiginger was looking for dribbling and tough finishes, but almost nothing came to mind. His missed penalty was not very good either.
Andreas Gruber – from minute 63 – mark: 2
The Styrian initially got a well-deserved rest, but after his replacement he did not skimp at all. With one of his first actions he started the 3: 1 for the Linzers showing a keen eye for free Eggestein.
Hussein Balic – from minute 63 – score: 2
The speedy Linz native celebrated his return after an injury with team ÖFB and wanted to report back with a goal. Balic tried from all positions and came closer to scoring when Ludogorets goalkeeper Iliev aimed his shot from close range to the crossbar.
Marvin Potzmann – from minute 73 – worn too short
Patrick Plojer – from minute 73 – worn too short
Christian Ramsebner – from minute 86 – used too short
