A 25-year-old is said to have beaten, raped, and then seriously injured his girlfriend, dragged her onto the street and placed her between cars.
The life of a young Viennese could only be saved by passers-by who were walking their dog. The 26-year-old is said to have been anesthetized, abused and nearly beaten to death by her friend Marcel M. in Vienna-Wieden last October with knockout drops. According to the prosecution, when Marcel M. arrived at his apartment in Vienna-Wieden on the night of October 11, 2019, he immediately attacked the 26-year-old. It is said that with “incredible brutality” he struck his girlfriend in the face with his fist, strangled her, grabbed her over and over again, kicked her and finally tortured her with a remote control. His roommate is said to have heard the beatings and moans of the woman, but did not come to her aid for fear of the accused.

The defendant could not explain to the court that he should have inflicted such serious injuries on his girlfriend and claimed that he had had a “movie tear” from alcohol and drugs. According to his own statement, he barely remembers the arrest in which Marcel M. kicked, insulted and hit the police. According to experts, the 25-year-old was only moderately intoxicated. Marcel M., who is in court for the eighth time, represents a danger to the general public according to a psychiatric report and would commit such a horrendous act again without the accompanying therapeutic measures that are guaranteed in the implementation of the measures.
