A sigh of relief in Gänserndorf after several sexual assaults: a suspect has been captured and is in custody.
Quick success of the investigation for the police in Lower Austria: for a 25-year-old Austrian, the wives clicked in front of the door on Thursday morning as he left his home in the Gänserndorf district; he is said to have sexually abused and slightly injured at least six women between the ages of 15 and 38.
Local confesses
The local confessed and was booked into Korneuburg prison. The executive is proud and relieved: “The swift arrest probably prevented more heinous crimes,” said Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, head of the Lower Austrian State Criminal Police Office.
Youngest victim 15 years
For the most part, the defendant was up to mischief in and around the Gänserndorf train station. He reportedly met his first victim there on September 13, a 15-year-old girl. He wanted to drag them to the Parhaus, but the man was startled by the loud screams and violent resistance. The young man was slightly injured. The other victims were touched in the genital area, the young women fell defending themselves and suffered injuries.
