Over the course of the next week, vaccinations for kindergarten teachers and staff will begin in Vienna.

VIENNA. According to the Vienna city health department, vaccinations for employees in schools and kindergartens are now scheduled to start earlier than planned. All those who have taken note, that is, 35,000 people according to the city, will soon receive a first partial vaccination. The vaccination campaign will begin in the middle of next week.

School and kindergarten staff are vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is currently only approved for those under 65 years of age. The employment of the school address must be taken to Impfstraße.

The city of Vienna plans to complete the immunization of those over 80 who are willing to be vaccinated in March.

Over 80 years: vaccination in March

In parallel with the vaccination campaign among educational personnel, vaccination of those over 80 years of age continues. You will continue to receive vaccines from the Biontech / Pfizer and Moderna brands. Starting next week, three more vaccination centers, in addition to the two existing ones, will be available for seniors and high-risk patients. Everyone over 80 who is willing to vaccinate is scheduled to be vaccinated in March, said Health Councilor Peter Hacker (SPÖ).
