From December 20 through probably January 6, there will be this possibility in five locations in the state for people without symptoms. 500 tests are available per station every day, according to a broadcast. “With this offer, we want Christmas to be as safe and family-friendly as possible,” emphasized Governor Thomas Stelzer and his deputy Christine Haberlander.
Registration for the test is desirable and possible from December 19 at https://ooe.testet.at/. People without internet access could come that way. The process is the same as for bulk testing. The result is communicated by SMS.
The following locations will be configured:
- Traunviertel: Schlierbach Agricultural Technical and Vocational School, Klosterstrasse 11, 4553 Schlierbach
- Innviertel: Ried Vocational School, Volksfeststrasse 7, 4910 Ried
- Mühlviertel: Bad Leonfelden Sports Center, Hagauer Straße 25, 4190 Bad Leonfelden
- Hausruckviertel: Vöcklabruck Agricultural Technical and Vocational School, Höhenstraße 1, 4840 Vöcklabruck
- Test option also: Vocational school 8, Gimpflingerstraße 8b, 4020 Linz
Tryouts are held every day from December 20 to January 6 starting at 8 a.m., but closing times vary by day. On Christmas Eve you can still do a smear until 2 pm
Safe christmas
In cooperation with the Barmherzigen Brüder pharmacy, OÖNachrichten offers rapid antigen tests. In the first seven days after the onset of symptoms, they serve as high-quality evidence of a possible infection.
