FPÖ President Hofer has asked that catering be open on public holidays. People must be allowed to gather there in accordance with the rules.
After the crown-related tightening of New Year’s Eve gatherings announced by the federal government, Federal FPÖ party leader Norbert Hofer demanded an orderly opening of restaurants on Saturday for the Christmas holidays. It is hoped that people will move from the public to the private sector and that this could lead to higher infection rates, Hofer warned in a press release.
Therefore, Hofer believes that “it makes sense to open the bars now and also at Christmas and New Year’s Eve so that Austrians can meet there respecting the rules.”
