Four injured in Hörweix (Zwettl): After a technical problem with a carriage, the horses panicked and the cart overturned.
Large-scale rescue operation, including helicopter operation in Zwettl district on Saturday: several wagons (Note: five in total) were in Hörweix for lunch as part of a joint excursion.

After a breakdown and the resulting loud noise, the horses in the cart panicked. The driver of the car had no chance, the carriage overturned and stopped on the side of the road.
The driver was seriously injured in the accident, the three passengers were also injured: a 58-year-old man was slightly injured, a 71-year-old man was seriously injured and an 80-year-old man was injured to an uncertain degree. The victims were taken to hospitals for rescue and by the ÖAMTC Christophorus 2 emergency medical helicopter. A horse was also injured and had to be treated by a veterinarian.
