923 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Tuesday. Most of the infections were found in Vienna (399). Lower Austria (170) and Upper Austria follow with 100 positive corona tests. So far 49,819 positive results have been obtained in Austria. As of today (October 6, 2020, 9:30 am), 822 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 39,790 have recovered. There are currently 498 people in hospital treatment for the corona virus, 101 of them in intensive care units.

170 new coronavirus infections in Lower Austria
St. Pölten. In Lower Austria, the number of confirmed coronavirus infections as of Tuesday morning increased by 170 to 7,552 compared to the previous day. State medical personnel counted 6,216 recovered, 146 more than on Monday. A total of 117 deaths related to Covid 19 diseases had to be reported in the state. This means that 1,219 patients were currently ill. So far, a total of 283,329 tests have been carried out.
Two new deaths from Covid-19 in Styria
Graz / Leibnitz. The Styrian State Medical Directorate announced on Tuesday about two more deaths in connection with the corona virus. An 80-year-old man from the Graz-Umgebung district and a 69-year-old woman from the Leibnitz district died from Covid-19. With them there are 172 dead in the Green Mark. Of the dead from Styria 92 women and 80 men. The oldest victim was born in 1919, the youngest to die was born in 1980.
