Horner on Honda engines: “That would be a crime”
After the 2021 season, Honda will leave Formula 1. At Red Bull they make no secret of the fact that they later want to take over the units from the Japanese and continue to drive them. However, this will only work if development freezes after the 2021 season. Because Red Bull couldn’t do that. Christian Horner therefore holds the FIA and Formula 1 responsible.
In ‘Sky’, the Red Bull team boss explains: “The FIA and Liberty, as rights holders, have to step up and do their part. It would be a crime to just put these engines on the shelf in some Japanese warehouse.” Interestingly, Mercedes could befriend the plan proposed by Red Bull. But would everyone else agree too?
Come The Rain?
Yes, we are pretty sure that today it will rain in Portimao. The question, however, is when the rain will come. It could happen during the race, but it is more likely that you will only get wet after crossing the finish line, as has happened so often this year. If it stays dry then we can prepare for a race with a single pit stop. Rain, of course, could change that …
