Bundesarbeitsminister Hubertus Heil sprach sich gegen den Vorschlag von Mitarbeitern seines Hauses für den Fall einer Fortsetzung der Saison aus. “Ich halte Spiele mit Masken nicht für vorstellbar”, sagte der SPD-Politiker der “Bild am Sonntag”.
Außerdem meinte Heil: “In gemeinsamen Gesprächen mit der Deutschen Fußball Liga wird derzeit konstruktiv an anderen praktikablen Lösungen gearbeitet.” Zuvor hatte der “Spiegel” berichtet, dass das Arbeitsministerium prüfe, Profis zum Schutz gegen das Coronavirus mit Mund-Nasen-Schutz spielen zu lassen.

17.31 Uhr: Spaniens Ligaboss droht bei Nicht-Antreten mit Strafen
Der spanische Liga-Chef Javier Tebas hat die Fußballclubs gewarnt, dass sie trotz der Corona-Pandemie wieder spielen müssen, sobald die Behörden dies erlauben. Im Fall einer Weigerung würden Sanktionen folgen.
“Gegen einen solchen Verein würde der spanische Fußballverband RFEF ein Disziplinarverfahren einleiten, ihm drei Punkte wegen Nichterscheinens streichen, und am Schluss würde er nach Hause gehen können”, zitierte die Zeitung “Sport” Tebas am Samstag.
Die Spielzeit wegen Corona komplett abzusagen, lehnt Tebas weiter ab. La Liga werde eine Milliarde Euro verlieren, wenn die Saison endgültig abgebrochen wird. Wenn ohne Zuschauer gespielt wird, würden immer noch 350 Millionen Euro verloren gehen. Wann und unter welchen Voraussetzungen der Spielbetrieb wieder aufgenommen werden kann, darüber läuft derzeit eine hitzige Debatte im fußballbegeisterten Spanien. Einig ist man sich nur, dass es höchstens Geisterspiele ohne Zuschauer sein könnten.
Aufgrund der Pandemie wird in den spanischen Stadien schon seit dem 11. März nicht mehr Fußball gespielt. Mit mehr als 220.000 Infizierten und fast 23.000 Toten im Zusammenhang mit dem Sars-CoV-2-Virus ist Spanien eines der von der Lungenkrankheit am schwersten betroffenen Länder der Welt.
Seit Mitte März und noch mindestens bis zum 9. Mai gilt im ganzen Land eine sehr strenger Notstandsplan. Sport im Freien ist verboten. Die Maßnahmen zeigen aber langsam Wirkung: Den zweiten Tag in Folge wurden am Samstag mehr von der Lungenkrankheit Genesene als neu mit dem Coronavirus Infizierte registriert, wie das Gesundheitsministerium mitteilte. Auch die Zahl der Corona-Toten pro Tag ist stark gefallen.
17.30 Uhr: Premier League soll am 8. Juni fortgeführt werden
Laut der englischen Zeitung “The Times” soll die Fußball-Premier-League am 8. Juni fortgesetzt werden. Die Verantwortlichen hätten schon vergangene Woche der Regierung ein Konzept für die Wiederaufnahme vorgelegt, hieß es. Demnach sollen die restlichen 92 Partien in “genehmigten Stadien” durchgeführt werden – maximal 400 Personen sollen Zutritt erhalten.
In der Premier League wird wegen der anhaltenden Coronavirus-Pandemie seit dem 13. März nicht mehr gespielt. Liverpool fehlen noch zwei Siege zum ersten Meistertitel seit 30 Jahren.
16.21 Uhr: Lazio-Präsident fordert baldigen Ligastart
Nach einer fast zweimonatigen Fußball-Zwangspause wegen der Corona-Krise hat der Präsident von Lazio Rom eine baldige Wiederaufnahme des Spielbetriebs in der italienischen Serie A gefordert. Claudio Lotito nannte dafür vor allem finanzielle und psychologische Gründe. “Der Fußball in Italien ist eine große Industrie und garantiert der Staatskasse 1,2 Milliarden Euro an Steuergeldern”, sagte Lotito.
Von einem Neustart der Liga würden auch andere Sportarten und das italienische Olympische Komitee profitieren, sagte der Unternehmer dem TV-Sender Rai 3. “Das CONI wird mit 460 Millionen Euro finanziert, der Fußball sorgte für Milliarden an Erträgen.”
Zudem erinnerte der Präsident des Tabellenzweiten, der einen Punkt hinter Juventus Turin liegt, auch an die gesellschaftliche Rolle. “Der Fußball hat einen riesigen sozialen Wert, und unsere Geschichte, die Geschichte der Römer, ist durch Brot und Spiele gekennzeichnet.” Dieser Aspekt solle berücksichtigt werden, fand er.

In zahlreichen europäischen Ländern steht die Wiederaufnahme der Fußballmeisterschaften zur Debatte. Solche Signale kommen auch aus Polen. Premierminister Mateusz Morawiecki kündigte den Wiederbeginn für Ende Mai an. Die Spiele sollen als Geisterspiele durchgeführt werden. Der Plan sei mit dem Sportministerium und den Gesundheitsbehörden koordiniert, sagte Morawiecki.

13.07 Uhr: Leichtathletik-Weltverband wird “Doper werden erwischt”
Leichtathletik-Weltverbandschef Sebastian Coe hat mögliche Doper in Zeiten der Corona-Krise vor Sportbetrug gewarnt. “Ich möchte eine ganz klare Botschaft an die Athleten senden: Sitzen Sie nicht da und denken Sie, dies sei eine testfreie Zeit! Das ist sie nicht”, sagte der Präsident von World Athletics in einem Interview der Deutschen Welle. Außerdem kündigte er Finanzspritzen für Sportler an.
Seit Ausbruch der Pandemie wurde in vielen Ländern das Doping-Kontrollprogramm heruntergefahren. Das öffnet mutmaßlichen Betrügern möglicherweise Tür und Tor. “Wenn Sie sich dafür entscheiden, außerhalb der Vorschriften und der Integrität unseres Sports zu treten, werden Sie erwischt werden”, versicherte Coe.
Der Weltverband denkt derzeit auch über Finanzspritzen für Sportler nach, die durch die Corona-Krise in Schwierigkeiten geraten sind. “Wenn es keine Wettbewerbe gibt, gibt es auch kein Preisgeld. Das erste Ziel ist daher zu versuchen, die Wettbewerbe zurückzubekommen”, meinte Coe. “Wir alle sind bestrebt, den Athleten wann immer möglich zu helfen. In den nächsten Tagen werden wir uns mit einer Art Unterstützungssystem befassen”, kündigte er an.
Es gehe nicht nur darum, dass es zurzeit keine Wettkämpfe gibt. “Die Athleten haben ihre eigenen persönlichen Sponsorschaften und Verträge. Es gibt auch Probleme mit den Sendern”, sagte Coe. “Ich hoffe aufrichtig, dass wir die Athleten noch in diesem Jahr wieder ins Training bringen können. Viele haben bereits auf Balkonen, auf Hotelkorridoren und auf der Straße trainiert.” World Athletics wolle die Athleten “so schnell wie möglich wieder in den Wettkampf bringen, aber nur, wenn wir das auch sicher tun können”.
