On Sunday, the former King Albert II of Belgium (86) met for the first time his illegitimate daughter, Princess Delphine Boël (52). Behind the two is a year-long legal battle, because Albert had publicly denied his daughter for years.
Since 2013, artist Delphine Boël has been fighting for recognition as the biological daughter of Albert II. According to her interpretation, her mother and Alberto had a long romance decades ago, which Albert had always denied.

It was only when the court asked him to submit to a paternity test that Albert relented in January 2020 and admitted paternity. At the beginning of October, the competent court in Brussels finally decided in favor of the artist Delphine Boël. Since then, Delphine has been officially the Princess of Belgium.

The former king and his wife invited the newly appointed princess of Saxe-Coburg to the castle of Belvédère. The Belgian royal palace published a photo of the three, said:
