Although the number of people with active diseases is decreasing in Austria, it continues to increase in Vienna.
So far, there have been 15,561 positive results in Austria. To date, 589 people across Austria have died from the consequences of the Corona virus and 13,110 have recovered. Currently, 472 people are in hospital treatment for the coronavirus and 124 of them are in intensive care units. This follows from the current figures of the Ministry of the Interior.
Compared to the previous day, there were 109 new infections and five new deaths. The number of people currently ill continues to decline. As of Friday, there are still 1,862 patients in Austria. On Thursday there were still 1,961.
Additional increase in Vienna
As of Friday, May 1, 2020, 8:00 a.m., 2,531 illnesses have been confirmed in Vienna. The number of virus-related deaths is 131. One woman (96) has died.
1,817 people have recovered. This currently affects 583 people in Vienna.
