FLORIDSDORF. The second lane for the crown tests has been installed on the Danube island next to the Floridsdorfer bridge. At the moment, 1,000 people can be tested daily here using a gargle test. The road is primarily intended for people with symptoms who are referred to the 1450 Health Hotline for testing. These people have to come with their own car because they are also in quarantine. There are six lanes available to them. There are also three walk-in stations for people who come without their own car and show no symptoms.

The test route is open Monday through Sunday from 6 am to 9 pm As with the test route at the Ernst Happel Stadium, the gurgling tests will also be used at the second location. The Arbeiter Samariterbund will carry out the tests with about 20 employees.

You drive to the test street, you get a solution that you have to gargle with and then you have to fill it with a tube in a container and return it.

Antigen tests are also evaluated. These are quick tests that give you a test result in 15 minutes. In street testing, such a test is used as a test as a “pretest” in some of the suspected cases who have only recently started experiencing symptoms.

So far, more than 35,000 people have been tested on the first test lane at the Ernst Happel Stadium, 1,500 tests can be performed per day. It was built in August due to the sharp increase in the number of returning travelers. Meanwhile, tests for contact persons can also be arranged there. Last weekend, a separate lane for people with mild symptoms was introduced – up to 200 people with mild symptoms can be tested in the Prater every day. So far, 1,463 people have tested positive on the Prater.
