The first deliveries will arrive across the border near Passau on December 26. 240,000 cans are available in January, 332,000 in February and 375,000 cans in March. After that, expect more vaccines from other providers, Kurz said. The sections are distributed as evenly as possible in Austria to ensure that the cans are inoculated evenly.
Health Minister Rudolf Anschober (Greens) also spoke of a “great opportunity”. One challenge is cooling the vaccine. An initial dress rehearsal for logistics was held on Tuesday, Anschober reported.
